Travel can be life-changing; however, the impact can be beneficial both to you and the places and people you visit. We believe that by adding the "give-back" aspect to your next vacation, you can not only forge long-lasting memories, but you can change the lives of those you help for the better.
At J. Sutton Travel, we believe in the power of giving back. Every summer, Jessica Sutton and her family volunteer with Lighthouse Family Retreats- Families Serving Families Program. In the Families Serving Families Program volunteers provide support for families who are living through the day-to-day struggles of childhood cancer. This one week away at the beach gives them the space to be a family, experience joy and hope. The Sutton Family also worked with a local church to fill a shipping container with meals bound for hungry families and school children living in Jamaica. Jessica's husband and son were then invited to Jamaica to deliver this shipping container filled with food. They were able to meet the people whom they worked so hard to help face-to-face.
The Sutton Family also supports Catalyst Resources International or CRI. In this charitable program, Jessica's son got the opportunity to travel to Guatemala to build three homes for the local homeless population and host a vacation bible school for local children.
